....Nagelsmann out of Chelsea running

Julian Nagelsmann is out of the running to be the next Chelsea manager. Although Chelsea held talks with him, he was not the preferred candidate and he was never regarded as the favourite.

As Sky Sports News reported last month, there were concerns about his age - 35 - and lack of experience of English football. There is also a sense that he would have preferred a coronation rather than an in-depth recruitment process. Senior figures at Chelsea were not convinced he was the right man for the job












Barry leaves Chelsea for Bayern

Bayern Munich have completed a move for highly-rated Chelsea coach Anthony Barry, who will be reunited with Thomas Tuchel at the Allianz Arena.

Barry, a former midfielder who hails from Liverpool, started his coaching career at Wigan Athletic before making the move to Chelsea in 2020. He has also held part-time roles with the Republic of Ireland and Belgium national teams.
